Biological Origins Of Mind (BOOM) Lab

In the BOOM Lab,  we study the evolution and development of social cognition in humans and other great apes. We use cutting-edge technology like eye tracking and behavioral methods to explore how humans and our closest living cousins evolve and develop the capacities to form, maintain, and repair social relationships.

Our lab’s research is currently assembled around understanding the evolution and development of three main pillars:

• Identifying and remembering others

• Representing other’s minds and social relationships

• Gaining social information
